Call for Software Demostrations

The ICAPS '03 conference will include a full session of software demonstrations, showcasing the latest planning and scheduling products and research projects. All demos will be given in parallel in an informal setting. Demos should be brief so that they can be shown repeatedly during the session.

Demo submissions will be evaluated on the basis of their innovation, relevance and scientific contribution. Commercial products are eligible, provided the presenters are prepared to discuss technical details of their software with attendees.

Submissions will consist of an email indicating the primary author's name, affiliation, address, phone number, and email address, and the following

  1. An abstract in PDF format providing a summary of the technical content of the demo. Abstracts should not exceed two pages in the AAAI style.
Alternatively, authors may send copies of accepted ICAPS papers, but abstracts are preferred.

  2. A demo storyboard with at least six screen dumps (not more than six pages, including pictures), also in PDF format.

Internet access will be provided, but ICAPS cannot guarantee the availability of any computer equipment. Presenters are encouraged to bring laptops for giving demonstrations.

Submissions should be sent to icaps-demos@postdoc.arc.nasa.gov and must be received by
Monday, March 31, 2003

Authors will be notified of acceptance by
Friday, April 18, 2003

Authors of accepted ICAPS papers will be invited to demonstrate their systems at the conference. Authors of accepted papers must still provide a storyboard and either an abstract or a copy of their accepted ICAPS paper by the deadline if they wish to present software demos.
